Anyone who clicked this must be truly ready to sink their brain into some meat of a discussion. The title “I am dropping out of college!” is something you may be considering, once considered, or are glad you chose not to do.
My friend Ramon (19 years old) and former attendee of England’s ‘Nottingham University’ is here to today to tell
you his reasons, motivations, and thoughts about choosing to go to college or instead creating your own life path, free of institution and curriculum.
His arguments are strong and reasonable, yet there is a fire in this man’s eyes for he knows what he wants; it is this determination that will bring him all of his life desires - COLLEGE FREE!
I met Ramon on my 6 month voyage through England and I also traveled the South of France with him via. 50cc moped. Ramon is a brilliant individual filled with grace and fury, talent and wisdom. Although I am graduating with a bachelors in Biological Sciences and continuing for another 4 years to become a Doctor Of Optometry, I completely understand Ramon’s point of view for leaving college and pursing life without the ball & chain, and without the straight jacket of exams.
Yet I do know Ramon and I will share a bright and successful future together.
2 Roads both arriving at the same point.
One is a path guided by the educational institutions & the other guided by pure creativity.
Enjoy Ramon’s short post on college life and his reasons for dropping out!

Leo Barbuta from Zen Habits would definitely tell us that in order to succeed on a test we must implement habits and be consistent with them. In order to do well on your test you will HAVE TO study, but by creating a STANDARD, undeviating life style that supports studying, you can get that extra edge for your tests.
- BE CREATIVE- Overall, any creative and unique way of studying will work. If you want to study with your pet dog go ahead! Feel like going on your roof or studying in the swimming pool? - thats cool! (be careful on the roof) - Be creative in any way possible. The more creative ways you come up with the more interesting the STUDYING process will become. The more interesting the studying process becomes the better you will retain the information. If you are learning something for your PERSONAL enjoyment, you never have a problem remembering it. So take your class materials and turn them into something you choose to learn. Not something you have to learn!!!

A positive mentality with an mind state of “acceptance” is a guaranteed formula for success on exams. Basically it’s like this…
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. -William Shakespeare
Plain and simple, things HAVE NO MEANING until you assign a meaning to it. It is human perception at its finest. A kitchen table is nothing until you consider it a platform to put your plate on and eat off of, a cute girl walking down the street has no value or meaning until you perceive and classify her into a category.
Yet in the situation we will discuss today, exams and studying have NO MEANING. This gives you the power to frame the situation in whichever way you want. Perceive it as a FUN learning experience and you are setting yourself up for some EXCELLENT grades.

A proper study environment is just as important is how long you study for, and what you study. The environment you are in, philosophically and scientifically, is at one with you leaving no separation from your physical body and the environment. So take the time to study in an environment that promotes positive vibes and an energy that empowers you to study and succeed.
Take this study environment test to see where you study best!
- STUDY IN THE BATH- We all know baths are quite relaxing, especially if you get the candles going and the nice smells and stuff. So after a long day when you go to hop in the bath, brings your notes in with you or a book. The relaxing atmosphere, slow heart rate, and sensation of the water will calm you down to the point where you can retain a decent amount of information. This new atmosphere will wire the information differently within your brain because you are associating the information with the nice warm BATH. So when the test comes up and you get the question - “What is Anti-Diuretic Hormone?” - you can say a hormone that causes you to retain water. YET, you will remember this because you will think to yourself “hey thats what I studied in the bath!” Note* don’t drop your books in the tub!
